What Information We Collect

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. E-commerce orders are processed by WooCommerce Payments through Stripe. WooCommerce Payments and Stripe will receive your name and credit card information specifically for ecommerce operations such as charging your card, issuing refunds, or other operations. ShippingEasy will receive a copy of your order data specifically to help us fulfill your order. Retention Ring does not store or have access to your credit card information.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address and browser and operating system.  We use analytics that give us insight into how users of common browsers or devices behave on our site in terms of placement of orders, bounce activity, length of page visits, and types of pages visited. This helps us to fine-tune your and streamline your experience on our site. Apple Pay, PayPal may receive copies of your information when you use their purchase flows on the Retention Ring website; MailPoet will receive your email address and order information (order number, address, etc.) specifically for transactional emails. If you opted in to newsletters and confirmed your opt-in via email, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates. If you would like to unsubscribe from these emails, you can indicate this by clicking through the unsubscribe link within those e-mails. You can also reply to the e-mails and ask us to unsubscribe you.

In general, the third-party providers used by us (for instance Nexcess, WordPress, ShippingEasy, MailPoet, Apple Pay, and PayPal) will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, each third-party service provider has its own privacy policy in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so.

Comments & Reviews

When visitors leave reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help fight spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a review or comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who We Share Your Data With

Retention Ring and its parent company, Omnicorp Products, LLC, do not rent, sell, or otherwise share your information with any outside parties without your express written consent. Exceptions exist for ecommerce operations; please see the “What Information We Collect” section for details on information sharing specifically for e-commerce operations. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Data Retention Policy

If you leave a review, the review and its metadata may be retained indefinitely for marketing or promotional purposes.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information for accuracy.

Your Rights Over Your Data

You may request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Contact info@retentionring.com to request removal of personal data.
